Hi, my Xr2i over heats a little to much, the gauge will go up to half way easy, pretty sure the fan cut in although i have wired up to switch on dash so can turn on.
Was driving back from work earlier and gauge went up half way but could smell coolant so got home on drive and popped bonnet and all water was pissin out off coolant tank, its had a new rad few months ago and a new temp switch headgasket ???

 

hi could be water pump ....but i allways take the thermostat out....
