Did a hard launch at ford fair and lost drive. Turns out that the front nearside driveshaft has sheared off where is fits into the intermediate shaft, leaving the cv joints otherwise ok. I've never heard of this happening before. I'm left with a 2in stub of driveshaft held into the intermediate shaft by a snap ring about 2in below the radial seal. This is going to be a pig to get out i realise, but what i'm wondering is what i can do to stop this happening again? (apart from learning a little clutch control!)

I think well 1st thing i did put some uprated engine mounts in and if the driveshaft is f..... then fit the slightly longer ones of the xr 4x4 iirc.
But wait till you get a response from the other lads on here as they have more of clue then me
