Default What discs

Im using 2wd cosworth calipers on a mk2 escort, is there any discs that can be modified to fit the hubs ? I would like to stay with 280mm dics if poss.
I can get a bell and machine the centers of the dics to fit, but the bells are £150.
Regards
Ray

Do you know the HEIGHT and WIDTH of the discs you need, if so scour the EBC's etc brake listings to see if there are any close ones, maybe you can find ones that just need turning down a bit.
The std 2wd(cos) discs are 283 mm(front) so these may be close, and a lot cheaper than bells@£150, plus more discs + machining to suit bells.

The problem is on the mk2 the discs bolt on to the rear of the hub not using the wheel studs to locate them.
Im using group 4 alloy hubs which have a larger face that the wheel bolts to, i carnt get a disc to go over from the wheel side unless i machine the hubs down which would leave the studs to close to the edge.
The discs i have are cosworth ones which are perfect size, i think im just going to machine the centers off and bite the bullet and get some bells to suit.
Unless anyone else has any ideas.

why do the bells cost £150 ?

what diameter and thickness/depth do the bells require ?

can you still mount bells on the rear hub face ?

£150 is what iv been quoted for bells and machine cosworth disc to fit, with theft and postage inc.
Yes i can mount them on the rear hub face.
I just thought someone on here must have done a conversion to use cosworth front brakes and may have found an easy way.
