good afternoon, non blonde here (female) advisory on mot says offside rear macpherson strut has slight movement at the upper attachment..do I need a new strut? new shocker? both? big job? and how much would the job cost me aprox? or what should I expect to pay. and is it an urgent repair? Replies please...kasie

 

Welcome to the forum.
It depends on what car(?), as it could just be the top mount if a rubber bonded one, about £15, and easy fix, or top bush/bearing.
It won't be wear in the strut itself, so will be easy cheap fix, con your b/f into doing it!!
