Default Oil breather problem

I have just fitted an oil breather to my frst and it has got a high idle speed now. I wanted to check to make sure i have fitted it right, also do i need to put the one way vale back on or is it okay without it? Any help greatly appreciated



1. Air filter
2.Rocker cover
3.Rocker cover
4.To inlet where one way valve was originally
the bottom hose goes to the sump where the right hand side rocker cover pipe originally went to

i have done alot of searches on this and founfd nothing helpfull
