how much oil should it take to fill a cossie yb engine from empty. i need to check the dipstick is the right one.

3.5 litres I think

 

Did mine from fully empty when did h/gasket took 4.3 litres, and yes I did measure it, took 3.7 to fill to full on dipstick, ran it a few minutes then it took another 0.6 litres to bring back to full, obviously a lot of oillives in the head!!

i find a 4 litres pot of mobil 1 just does it, then another 1l pot inbetween oil changes to keep i topped up.
