Can i reuse the ''ring'' around the driveshaft from the oilpump,got a new one from Ford without the ''ring''

Yes, if not a tight fit flatten it with a hammer then it gets really tight.

In the manual they say ''Insert the oil pump shaft with the short side towards the oilpump"
Have to check the old one

Think it's ther to stop it being pulled out if the distributor is removed. I have seen them without, but I'd re-fit it.

cant remember exactly, but when rebulding mine i can recall the washer being a set distance along the shaft and depending which way you put the shaft in it will determine how much it engages in either the dizzy drive or the oil pimp drive.although not sure if it actually does make any real difference
