TOAD Ai606, 600 was better but can't get anymore.
About £250/£270 fitted, with lifetime warranty.

no idea mate, your not meant to be able to buy the alarm on its own, they are meant to be only supplied and fitted by approved Toad dealers.

Ive seen prices for an alarm supplied and fitted for about £250.......

I fitted my own they are easy enough to do.

As said easy to do.
They are readily available, TOAD don't like that fact but they are.
You will of course not get any approval(CAT1) with diy fitting though a consideration if your insurers give a discount /

Ah i see.
Ive seen them on ebay for about £100 and been quoted £80 for fitting but i need to make sure this will be vaild for the insurance. Ive been given a really good quote for a cat 1, but i need to get it done first to get the insurance. I need to find an approved fitter.
cheers fellas.

You can also use your VSIB embossing stamp, and use your VSIB accreditation number too!!!!
NO fitter is going to warrant a alarm that he did not supply, so if/when it goes wrong you then have to pay removal costs and reinstall costs.
This is going to cost you the best part of £200, for £250 you could leave all the hassle to someone else.
If your insurers want it CAT 1, it must be VSIB accredited which means you cannot do DIY filling in, unless you are VSIB approved, which is what they are after, but then you would not be asking on here.
