Diff Problam

Ok, somehow i`ve managed to break the spline on the propshaft and the broken bit is still in the hole of the diff.
Does anyone know how to get it out? Its a Granada 7.5" LSD dIFF.

Mate.How did you shear that bit off??
Anyway,to remove it,First undo the nut on the pinion shaft,(that's the bit that's broke) take the plate off the back of the diff casing and you will see the diff wheels and crown wheel.On either side of the unit is a cap held on with two bolts.Remove the caps and pull the whole unit out.You may need to use a couple of lever bars.Then the broken pinion can be removed.

Brilliant, Cheers m8. The only way i think i could of done it was when i moved the car forward about 10ft with the gearbox out and prop left hanging and it jammed on the floor then fell off!!
