Default Cosworth over fueling

i have a 1990 2wd cossie, several weeks ago the bottom end decided to knock badly,so stripped the engine out and found it was knackered,i have borrower a mates spare engine and put all my exhaust manifold, sensors etc on it,but it is massivly over fueling and wont start,if i pull the injector leads off i can get it to fire and get the leads back on i can get it to run,but it kicks out black soot (over fueling) ? and when i turn it off it wont fire again,i have tried a new map sensor and also put my stage 3 chip,3 bar and greens in to eliminate any of those and it still doesn't work, the only thing that was on the engine when i got it was the inlet manifold could this be leaking any air ? p.s all sensors were working fine on my engine till it died, any thoughts welcome as i am meant to be taking this to lemans on wednesday night.........
thanks in advance

As above

If your inlet was leaking it would have a high idle speed and run leaner

Good luck and watch out for my two mates and there mits evo's a red tommi and a silver one all logo'd up

i'll keep my eye open for the mits evo's,but will be keeping my speed down as it's not my engine and need to give it back once mine is built, but then again as it's not my engine i think i might have a go
