Hi there fokes I am new to this site. Bought an old xr2i off a friend who sadly left it sitting on his driveway for the past couple of years. The problem is I cannot get the car to start. I believe it to be a fuel pump problem allthough two years ago the car drove fine. The pump does not make the initial 2 second noise when the ignition is turned. I have replaced the old fuel etc, there are sparks from the spark plugs. Everything seems to be in tact. The only other thing I can think off is the cut off switch located in the passenger footwell. It looks like someone has tampered with this. Also There is a lead right near it with a two pin plug but nothing connected to it. Could this be it?? Many Thanks
