what difference is there between a 2L i ghia sierra (for example) and 2wd saff cos in the way of engine -box and diff mounts? . is the cos stuff a straight swap fitment wise?

come on girls im about to start cutting the tunnel in my 944 and need to know what non cosworth sierra i need to buy to cut up and graft to the 944 that will then (after its tested) accept all 2wd cos stuff. a minute of your time ?

AFAIK it's all the same apart from Cossie Sierra having larger cut outs for wiring looms.

so a 2l dohc saff would be spot on then. just need to find one close by now , not as many about nowdays.

get yourself down to Loom's - there's loads in there

Are you sure there isn't room in the tunnel you've already got ? It would be a hell of a lot easier making up local mounts/reinforcements for the rear beam, gearbox, and prop centre joint, than fitting a complete sierra floorpan, if that's what you are intending to do.

hows it going mate . its more so ive got something to work to and all the bits there at hand. plan is to use bits of the sierra floorpan where needed/possible rather than fab all new brackets but untill theyre both in the air theres no knowing . what/wheres looms?

I dont think you'd need a saff, any mk2 sierra would do. They've all got the same floor pan iirc.
