Default --HELP-- Cosworth --HELP--

Hello everyone, this is my first post, sorry to jump right into technical stuff but...

i own an 86' 3Dr Sierra Cosworth, which has developed a problem

Its only firing on one cylinder, and the only injector to spray is also on cylinder 1?

Ive changed the crank sensor and the phase sensor with the air gaps set correctly, and now i am lost!

any help would be greatly appreciated

Ive pulled the injectors out and they all spray once on first crank, then only spark plug one and injector one fire until i stop cranking.

Unfortunately i dont have much understanding of how the crank and phase triggers work but something is telling me it is on that side.
Its as if the phase sensor is showing position one so it fires cylinder one spark plug and injector but the crank sensor isnt giving reference to each cylinder...?

Ive tried cranking with either the phase or Crank sensors unplugged and nothing fires.

Ring any bells to anyone?

Cheers

Matt

was it running perfectly prior to this new problem? check to see that ALL 4 lugs are still on the bottom crank pully?

Yes I would second this - It seems to relate to the fact that the ECU is not getting the correct information from the Crank Pos sensor.

Check this before going further.

Check the gap on ALL FOUR lugs on the crank, if it was gapped up on a high one and the others are low they may be too far away to signal.
What were you doing before this happened, ie what work did you do on the car or did it just suddenly do this.
I think you may well be looking at a ecu problem if it just suddenly did it ?
