Default Strange handling on Mk2 XR2

OK, I replaced the ball joints and trackrod ends at weekend.

Rod ends was 9 turns off one side and 18 turns off the other, meaning I had more lock one way So, I levelled them out, took the steering wheel off and centred it.

Now, when I accelerate, it pulls to the left and when I let off it pulls to the right. Been told this is a ripped engine mount, but they all seem fine, checked them with the jack under the box.

Also, think I might have tightened the steering wheel up too much as it doesnt self centre. If I turn it 90deg either way and let go, it just carries on

as above, jacks dont really highlight gearbox mounts that well.
try it in reverse to, prob find the backs shagged, but tracking needs to be sorted asap really

You can't track by eye mate, you have to get it on a proper machine.

Have you missed a bush off the steering column at all, might be why its not self centering?
