Default saff clutches

hi guys,my 2wd saff clutch is really heavey its a standard car with 51k and had a new clutch fitted at 45k by previous owner,i was just wondering if all 2wd clutches are heavey or mine has had a cheap clutch fitted etc? thanks rich

it is more likely that your clutch cable has melted

As jon@work says very common for cable to melt and go really heavy.
They are usually very light, too light if anything.

Mine feels like it has a small house on the other end of it! Its melted, noticed earlier today. Spare one in the boot on standby.

New clutch and cable in mine and its still too heavy

Just make sure you put gearbox end in first then just lift pedal and the ratchet will release allowing you to push it back and slip cable in then let go few pumps of pedal all done!!
