rs 1600i servo
can anyone tell me if any other mk3 escort xr3i,rs turbo etc uses the same set up with the servo dropped back against the bulkhead like the rs 1600i or is it just the rs 1600i with this set up and are the brake better because of this or not and would a rs turbo set up be better thanks
also does any one know were i can get the ally clamps from that join the two rollbars at the front of a rs 1600i from thanks

Not sure if the servo is the same or not, i would of thought it would be the same, the RS1600i brake linkage is notorious for being very poor though, the setup on other mk3's is far superior.
You can get some pattern roll bar clamps from many places although i cant name any psecific names, they are a lot stronger aswell being machined and not cast.

As SafeChav says the problem lies with the linkage itself. There are too many joints and pivots between the pedal and the servo which puts a lot of play in the system. Fitting S2 turbo brakes will not reduce the amount of play so you'll get just as much pedal travel, possibly slightly more.
