Default cossie not sparking

Hello.
Any ideas on this anyone?
I adjusted the distributor very slightly because one of the leads was pushing right up against the inlet manifold and now im not getting a spark at all!!! Even though the adjustment was vey small, would that be enough to put the timing out completly?? I dont think im getting anything from the coil. Can anyone help, please.
Cheers
Muffster.

It does not matter what position the dizzy is in, if everything working ok you will get a spark just at the wrong time that's all.
Have you inadvertantly disloged a connector ?, do you have a dodgy CPS connector as these do play up ?, have you checked the phase gap ?
Take king lead out of cap and rest near body work then turn over and see if it sparks, if like me you may have forgotten to put the rotor arm back in.

time the engine up with the two camshaft pointers pointing at each other and then line the rotor arm up with the notch on the distributor housing. I think the rotor arm needs to be within 20 degrees of this mark.

Also check your phase sensor wires, if youve disturbed them its very common that the insulation just falls of and the two wires touch.

Good luck!

Back to scratching me head unfortunalty. (i got a spark yesterday before i moved the dizzy!!??)

Hello again
im not sure where my problem lies but is it possible to test the input and output of the coil with a multimeter? ive tried putting the kinglead against the body and got nothing. Where would i go back to from the coil, does it run from a fuse or a relay?
Thanks a lot.

Default no spark

Hi,

The phase sensor has no effect on ignition timing,
you must have a crank sensor, coil, amp, wiring fault, or ecu, fault.
i have sent you a pm to test amp,inc coil, etc.
