If you change the chassis numbers and vin plate from your old car to another shell(second hand shell) then it's classed as a ringer and totally illegal

When you reshell, you will basically be insuring a 2.0 Ghia Sierra modified to Cossie Replica. The insurance company will probably crucify you on premiums. You can change the plate to yours (reg. transfer), but the vin will always be a Ghia, and will be worth £1000 tops, instead of £xxx.
