iv spotted a loom for a xr2 on ebay.. question is can i unplug the engine bay part of my loom ... then plug in the xr2 bit... or do i not even make any sense?

You cant "unplug" the engine loom. If your on about putting a 1600(cvh) lump into a car that has a 1300(cvh) lump in then you dont need to change the loom.
