260mm standard. Same as all 2wd ABS Sierra and Granada models up to 1994 (exc. Cosworth).

260mm.
NOT the same as all sierra ABS, 1.8 87-93 was 240mm.
Granada also used up to 94 262mm and 278mm.

TwinCam and V6 non-Cosworth Sierra & Granada had 260mm (or 258.2 if you want to be pedantic). 278mm was reserved for 4x4 Sierra Cosworths and posible some 4x4 Granadas. You will note that I stated 2wd cars. I have never yet seen a 1.8 Sierra with ABS.

BTW Tabetha: you have caused enough trouble on all other forums you enter. Please do not reply to my posts as you talk out of your posterior most of the time (notice that fact that I do not swear @ you unlike what you do on all the forums YOU visit).

ATTN: Any mods who wish to discuss this "rant" with me, feel free to do so by pm, I will explain everything for you. I WILL NOT elaborate on the forum though.

Back to topic now.... (sorry mk3cable)

EBC CATALOGUE 2004/5 PAGE 59.
SIERRA 1.8 ABS PART NUMBER D086 240MM
So anyone can look this up if they so feel the need, only trying to make sure that no one buys the wrong discs, sorry it appears to be wrong to do this.
And no I will not lay down and be quiet, if someone does not wish to read what I print then don't, it's fairly simple I would have thought.
tabetha
ps I have never seen on of these either, but as discs are made I would imagine they do exist

if you look in some of the sierra handbooks, you will see a 1.8 sierra with abs

the S2's used the same brakes as the sierra's that had abs (and the same size as those that had discs all round)
they are the same size on the granadas but they have an extra hole in them to acomodate the extra stud in the hubs

don't buy sierra 4x4 discs as they run a different offset
don't buy sierra cosworth 2wd discs as they won't bolt on without a spacer bracket
don't buy sierra cosworth 4x4 discs as they are so the wrong offset

the calipers on the granadas and the sierras that use the 260mm discs are the same as on the S2 so if you want to upgrade to 260's and DON'T feel the need to go and look for abs specificly equied sierras, just go and get the ones from a granada

ah yes, the infailable "book" of stuff that they keep behind all parts desks, the same sort of book that lists the 24V pads as being the same as the normal granadas, the same books that list the front inner cv gaitors for the 4wd fords as being the same as the rears, the same books that list all sierra estate shocks as being the same, the same books that list all sierras without abs as having 240mm front discs and rear drums, the list could go on for a few pages yet, but take it from me, all uk sierras that had abs used 260mm front discs and 253mm rear discs

The public might beleive and trust what a manufacturer says rather than assume they are wrong though it would seem quite normal, granted they nmay from time to time get things wrong, as I SAID I HAVE NEVER SEEN A 1.8 WITH ABS, I merely qouted from book of words and gave the book qouted from, so that I was not misleading anyone.
