Default PATS!!!

First off id like to say im loving this forum, ive heard about it when i was on Fiesta-si.com.

Im hoping you lot can help me...please

i have a 95 ford fiesta si 16v zetec and the PATS system has packed up so i cant start my car, my question is:
If i change the PATS box (black box behind dash) and my key will it work or is the code also in the ECU?

Thank you

The chip in the key is programmed to the ecu. The chip/key needs to be from the same car as the new ecu, otherwise its Ł40 to have new keys and chips programmed.
Same thing happened to a bag of shite i bought!
