Default 4x4 idle problem

hi can anyone shed some light on a problem i have, ive had my 4x4cos
a couple months now and its great, but it doesnt tick over to great when first started, also when the cars running at a stand still it some times revs its self up and down and then settles at about 1000-1200,on a couple of occasions its cut out and after a few attemps at turning it over it ll start and seems fine for a while again.any help would be great thanks.

air bypass valve on top of the trottle body take it out and try and wash it off with some petrol youll see a load of carbon and shit round also when youve done that just drop abit of oil round the in side to help the piston side up and down if that falls you mite have sensor fault on the cold start side

dont oil it mate, its highly polished stainless and should movefreely, once there is oil there it makes it sticky and attracts more oil/muck and makes it stickier.

have you got a k and N filter or piper x... these seem the worst as some oil from the elements is carried into the ar inlet of the engine , similarly if you are running higher boost with out a proper breather system, the oil mist from the breather is carried over into the inlet
