4x4 cylinder head
I have the head off for a bit of porting and new gasket is there anything els worth doing while its off or checking? also do i go for group A gasket or cometic multi shim gasket? also should i stick with standerd head bolts or go for a stud and nut kit from Burton power?
Depends how much power you want, so long as 4x4 block you can use stud nut kit, just do usuall stem seals grind seats + three angle.
For a gasket the group a is good for around 400bhp, and will seal MINOR imperfections in block face as it is FIBROUS, metal will not, I use group a.

Just lifted the head off and found the block is wire rung so do i have to replace the wires or can i just clean it up and put new headgasket on ? and can i still use a group A gasket or something els?
Wire rung very old hat now, just clean up and fit new gasket group a will be fine, as as far as I know there are no specific gaskets to use with wires, latest thing is a ONE PIECE METAL GASKET.
