Hi all,
Just bought an escort today

it's a mk5a cabriolet on a j plate with a cvh engine. I have no clue what it is as its not an lx or xr or anything. It seems to have heated front screen, footwell lights, electric mirrors etc? the plate just comes up as 1992 Ford Escort 1.6 (Cabriolet)... It has a normal mk5 front bumper with no fogs and no rear spoiler....anyone have a clue why its specced up yet has a poverty spec bumper??

By the handbrake theres a little button (doesn't look like a boot release) and it has a picture of what looks like a tv with a squiggle or lightning bolt through it. when i press it its lit, and press it again it goes out yet it doesn't appear to do anything. Looks like something standard though... any ideas

Other than that I love the car, wicked drive too, will get some pics up tomorrow.

P.S. I need a tonneau style hood cover and an outer seal for the drivers door where the window meets the hood... anyone have any ideas where is best/cheapest to get them?

I think that switch might be for the heated mirrors. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

 

On my mates one that stops the electric windows being controlled by the back switches.
