Default Please help a newb, changing rear brake shoes

Is there a guide anywhere?

It's on a mk2 mondeo, i've got the handbrake off so the drum spins freely but the drum won't come off, can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks

I thought though may be wrong that the mondy drums were held on by the bearings ?.
If the drum is trying to move ? ,it may have developed a ridge on the outside inner edge of the drum stopping it from moving off, hard way I'm afraid with force, you have taken out any screw holding drum on ?
Sorry can't remember if they are integral bearing housing or not.

ps remember to grind off any ridge when you do get them off.

You will have to undo the hub nut to release the bearing, and if it still won't come off then as above, chances are the drum is grooved!

A big screw driver/pry bar should see it off!

sorted it now...

The drum does come off seperate to the hub, there's a little service hole type thing on the back of the drum backplate that you can stick a screwdriver in and adjust the postion of the shoes so that the drum comes off over any ridge

Thanks u2
