EFI CVH ECU's
right just been reading fast ford (dont ask) and read an intersting bit on EFI fuleing
in perticular the part on OVERRUN FUEL SHUT OFF and that it can be fixed when broken
if anyone knows how please let me know as mines def up the wall
drives like a bag if shit on lite throttle rely jurkey and loads of fule is dumped into exhaust when comin off the throttle to a standstill (sounds kool IMO - but still wrong)
wanna know how this can be fixed?????

Sounds like they've made a mistake. You get the overrun valve on MFi cars - it sits behind the fuel distributor and when it goes wrong its normally a dodgy throttle switch...
EFi cars don't have one - the injectors just inject less fuel.
Get a Ł15 Gunson fault code reader from Halfords and plug that in. It should give you a good idea of what's going wrong.
Have you checked that you've not got a split air hose? Sounds a bit like a MAP sensor problem...

CVH EFI shuts the fuel off on overrun, i'm sure it says that it's fixed by remapping the ecu to turn of overrun fuel cut at low speed in the article. It wouldn't have been talking about mechanical inj in a feature about ecus.

I've heard about this before, - but I may be missing the point.
The thing is the original EEC-IV ECUs program/map is hard wired in the factory and cannot be changed without a chip. It is not possible for the program to spontaneously change on it's own.
That being the case if your car "started" doing this on its own one day then it can't be a fault with the ECU program. Something else must have gone wrong which is causing the problem.
You may be able to cure the "symptoms" by tweaking the program to ignore whatever is causing the problem, but are you addressing the root cause?
My EFi CVH works perfectly well on the original map, as does the spare ECU. What is the code of the ECU that's in your car?

i was thinking f getting a new after maret fule regulator and running some treatment through the had,
more or likly needs a rebuilt de cokeing, etc
any more info in the falut code reader may have to invest

Where is your ISCV? On the inlet manifold? On a bracket on the inner wing? Or on the airbox?
The standard fuel pressure regulators are very good, don't be fooled into thinking FSE are good.

Could be, its a potentiometer unlike the ones on MFI RST's.
Gota be worth a try if you can find one cheap and easily, couldnt guarantee it.
Ive got a couple if you get really stuck
