as above - as long as you have the right maps & MAP sensor

L8 is more reliable, but why else to do it? nothing that can be done with L8 cannot also be done to P8

It was just a thought.. as I was reading some tech threads. Then it hit me ( notthat I will do it )..With a L8 I would´nt need to take the ECU out of the car to get the modd, so I could use datastream IAW monitor.

No worry will keep my P8.. and get the modd together with at new chip from MotorsportsDevelopment.

But thanks...

it shows up faults with the loom/car/sensors that may not be apparent with the l8, as the p8 drops into limp mode whereas the l8 doesnt - so it can feel like running a p8 makes the car less reliable when in fact its nothing to do with the ecu...

that's not what i meant though dave. i meant that the p8 ecu hardware itself is not as rugged and reliable as the l8 - or so stu once wrote

ah..

i thought the hardware of the p8 was superior wrt the l8, ie injecotr drivers, IIRC, stu told me that for the same spec engine a p8 wil give ever so slightly more power due to the beter injector drivers - - but i may well be wrong,,, ive done a lot of house bashing since then
