before you start the engine ?
may sound silly but...............
do you pump the excelerator pedal a few times before you fire up?
i have been having a few probs with car stuttering, i did this this morning and car drove fine, went to start car for return jorney home but just turned the key and started driving the car played up all the way home, stuttering etc and also "hunts"? when the revs go up and down.
this may seem a silly thing to ask, but i can remember on other cars with auto choke that pumping the pedal before " set the choke" i have an hour and a half trip home and was trying to work out what i did different to this morning, and this is all i came up with.
does this make sense to some one?
regards
steve

According to the manual your not supposed to touch the exellerator pedal when the engine is cold and your supposed to press it half way down when starting a warm engine.
however, everytime i give the old girl some boot, this seems to change on my car, i can start my car fine in the morning and the choke will control things perfectly, but if i give it some hammer, when i come to start again it struggles to stay running (as if its got no choke) check your engine coolant temp sensor as this controls most of these sort of things
