Default Bad oil leak while driving

Hi Guys, my first post!

I cleaned up my escort cosworth today including engine bay. After I had finished I took the car for a bit of a blast. Ran well but on the way home I came of a roundabout half throttle/ boost and all of a sudden smoke was pooring out my bonnet vent, I pulled over straight away turned the engine off. There is oil on my bonnet and drivers mirror. Under the bonnet the oil seems to have come from just under the turbo near the water pump has spray abit on the came belt etc. I started the car up again and it wasnt leak from anywhere I could see at all. So drove home off boost and looked again still couldnt see a leak just the remains of the oil from the first time. The dip stick is 3 qtrs full so hasnt used hardly any oil and the engine runs fine. The only oil points I can see in the area is the turbo return and the headgasket? I dont think its from the turbo oil feed as its clean in this area and defo looks like its more under the exhaust manifold/ water pump area.

Any ideas what can cause I high pressure burst of oil but then not seem to leak any at slow speed from this area.

Thank you

Darren

check the cam shaft oil seal behind the pulley, mine popped out todayand it sprayed the oil in that area because it was dropping on the timing belt.

Also if it was the cam seal would it leak all the time.

I have just started the car with a torch and cant see any leaks at all including both cam areas. I think I might have to take it out tommorow and get it on boost again and see if the problem happens again?

fairly east to replace the seal but you need to remove the cam pulley,
mine didn't leak all the time.
try cleaning the engine down & run it up to temp and load it up at revs to find it.
