what car is it?
have u tried the following
get car warm and then disconnect iscv and set base idle to 850rpm then reconnect iscv and as long as fans etc are off idle shd stay constant
get co checked by mot station
again make sure car is warm hook up probe to check co then adjust ur co to the correct level for the chip
clean iscv
and check all connections for any broken wires to iscv/tps dist etc only then after checking simple things take it to someone
engine advantages in essex had a good write up

Hi, i had similar problems with my cossie. The owner before me had Ford and a local so called expert look at the car. He paid out loads of dosh trying to get the car set up well. Everything he tried was money wasted. When i got the car it did not idle well and had a miss fire now and then. I took my car to Stu at Motorsport Developments. He checked my car over and found the problems in about 1/2 an hour. The car now runs fantastic.

I had to traval 180 mile round trip to get someone that new what they where doing. A small price to pay for such good service.
