Engine Number Location?? On Saff 4x4

Hello all

Does anyone know where the Engine Number is located on a 93MY 4x4 Saff Cosworth?

left hand side under exhaust manifold in line with alt or above water pump

stamped in to the block just above the waterpump and its normally diccult to see

the one near the waterpump is the cosworth part number, not the actual engine serial number as should match with the last 5 numbers of the car's VIN ,

the one you want is here, and it IS a bugger to read
