i have a 98 s reg escort and currently having probs with its steering. when building up speed through the gears, the car can be going in a straight line,l then will all of a sudden jerk to one side, it does it to both sides. it also does it on gear changing on gear 1-2,2-3 and 3-4 but never 4-5.
i did think it could be tyre pressure, but they are all fine, the brakes seem fine too.

does anyone have any idea as to what it could be as i am baffled by it. fortunately i am used to it otherwise it could have been wrapped around a lamp post or something by now!!!
