hi all, i have a MK2 mondeo Zetec, its just started to get hard to get it into 1st gear, it doesnt engage properly most of the time so it grinds.

Once its in its fine, also sometimes as i put it into 3rd the same happens it just grinds.

Is this the selector????

 

Mk2 has a hydraulic clutch, This is a common problem, I would got for the cheap and easy things 1st, change the fluid and Bleed it up

Possible but its more than likely the clutch side of things

 

dont the mtx75s have a problem sometimes with the synchos on 1st and 3rd?

How many miles has he done?
