Hi i have a mk4 escort with 4x4 cosworth running gear i have just fitted an exsternal swirl pot lift pump and an 044 pump setup.i used the standerd fuel pump feed to switch the relays to start the 2 pumps running all was fine and working grate on first start up i let the car run and worm up then switched off.i tried starting the car a half hour later to find no feed to the 2 fuel pump relays after checking the oe relay under the dash i found it to be fine.ive runna a direct feed to the 2 relays so the pumps are running fine but the car turnes over but wont start now has anyone got any idears?

 

The oe pink fuel pump relay dosnt switch when ignition is turned on but has power going to it is there any other relays or fuses i should be looking at.The car dosnt want to fire at all just turnes over.help?

 

Have you conected pin 1/TD on the pink relay to your coil?

The relay wont work then as it is tachometric.

 

but was working fine and i havent removed the relay or anyof the wireing i have just added the pumps and relays to run them

 

Well ive been out there most of the day and checked everything i know but am getting bit confused as electrics realy not my thing.The main car loom is rst and the engine loom and some other bits are sierra cosworth and not having a good understanding of ither in very confused i was hoping to go to my next meet in it as have missed a few but once again shes let me down .HELP. Dose anyone have any idears or know of a good lecy in my area im in bedfordshire
