hi i hope someone can help me, im fitting megasquirt to my car and im using the ford edis system, the crank sensor has 2 wires, both blue in colour, one with a yellow stripe on it the other with a green stripe. does anyone know which is the positive and which is the negative.

When the sensor is installed on the block, the upper pin is positive.

thanks for the reply jesse but i dont know which way the sensor went originally, the sensor is being fitted to the front of my renault 21 turbo engine, as im running megasquirt. does anywayone have a picture of the crank sensor fitted so i can work it out please.

Sorry to piss on your chips boys but how can inductive sensor that produces an AC signal have a positive and negative???

The sensor doesn't have a power supply or anything like that if thats what you are thinking.

Its an inductive sensor, has 2 pins which across them produce an AC voltage, which varies dependent on speed.
