cossie yb wont rev over 2500rpm

Default cossie yb wont rev over 2500rpm

have a escort cos yb in my mk2 rs2000.running a t4,light blues 200 long stud etc..will run and rev cleanly from cold then as it starts getting warm it hesitates at 2500 and it has no go in it at all.unplug the throttle position
sensor and it will rev freely and smoothly.put a new t.p.s on it and it still does it .starting to do my head in proper now as i just want to rag the bloody thing.

have you got the right t.p.s sensor for the managment as the l6 one and l8 one are diffirent i think

blue temp sender could b playing up one at rhs rear of the head.

what ecu are you running if L6(white co screw) requires PFO1 tps and L8 requires PF09 best to check just in case.

also try another 3 bar map sensor

cheers m8,love the tina,top ride dude its an l8 and it uses a pf09.have tryed a new 3 bar map sensor with no difference.gonna try the blue temp sensor tomorrow if i can get one.cheers bud.you aint that far from me by the looks of it.you going to coombe on saturday for the rally day m8

Just a note, you can use either TPS in either car just a matter of reversing the outer two wires, the resistances are the same, just a carbon track at the end of the day.

I thought this too but the PF09 has a different voltage output at the closed position think its to do with shutting off fuel but they deffo are different

That is incorrect.
The PF09 stays on teh track at idle and supplies a resistance to the 5v feed that teh ecu can see.

The PF01 comes off teh track and goes open circuit. Isolating the 5v feed so teh ecu sees open circuit.

The ECU MUST see this to operate idle and overun strategies correctly.

The L8 will normally drop into LOS strategy if it sees open circuit on ANY sensor.
