Just a note, you can use either TPS in either car just a matter of reversing the outer two wires, the resistances are the same, just a carbon track at the end of the day.

The PF09 stays on teh track at idle and supplies a resistance to the 5v feed that teh ecu can see.
The PF01 comes off teh track and goes open circuit. Isolating the 5v feed so teh ecu sees open circuit.
The ECU MUST see this to operate idle and overun strategies correctly.
The L8 will normally drop into LOS strategy if it sees open circuit on ANY sensor.
Hope this helps.
