CHARGING PROBLEM ON MY S2.
Hi ppl
I recantly brought an s2 as a bit of a project, and having rebuilt the engine plus a few other things i finally got it started. the battery i have did have a full charge but now it's flat as a pancake, now i'm unsure if the alternator is wired correctly or the battery is a duff? anyone got any ideas or pics of alternator wiring?
please help!!

Cheers mate.
The battery light is on when i run the car from a jump start will this be a dead battery or is it that the alternator faulty or just a duff battery? i think i've got it wired right now.

If the battery light is on while the car is running, firstly, the alternator won't be charging. Not necessarily because its knackered however.
The alternator uses the battery light to commence charging, if the battery light stays on for whatever reason it won't charge.
So, the alternator either isn't charging, OR, the wire has shorted to earth.
Best way to test, is unplug the thin blue wire and see if the battery light comes on, if it does, you have a short, if not, the alternator isn't charging

have you checked the battery with a meter 12.5 volts is good with ignition off with car running should read over 13 volts so that is how you know the altenator is charging the battery
