Default Quick Question

While attemting to start the car, should the timing belt move or does that only move when the car has started? i just took the cambelt cover of turned the key and the belt or pully's aren't moving, should they be?

Should move mate, since it is the crank which is driving the camshaft........

So if the crank is moving so should should the cam/cambelt..........

Have you or anybody else done anything to it???

Was it working fine and then today you tried to start it and found this???

It went into mr clutch on friday to have a gearbox i bought fitted, they fitted it and was fine, then all of a sudden my starter motor packed up, they fitted a new starter motor and all was fine until yesterday when i went to start
