im new to the ford scene and just bought a s2 rst.noticed that the speedo and the rev counter dont work.wot do i need to check to get um to wkr agen?

 

hmm the rev counter works elctronically from the coil but the speedo works from a cable from the gearbox also has a link near the bulk head chase it to the gearbox and see if its screwed in properly!

also take out the clocks and see if the cables in the back and all the plugs are on!

 

MK4 rev counters are shit, more than likely gone. And as said the speedo is mechanical.

As said it will be worth pulling the clocks forward and checking its all connected, also check the speedo cable on the gearbox, and that its not snapped.

I bet the rev counter is ragu (fucked) though
