Default Worth fitting a panel filter?

Just wondering if its worth fitting a panel filter to my Xr2i 16v? Any gains to be had? Dont want an induction kit as it will only suffer from heat soak and sound like a hoover.

You will gain lots of dust getting to your pistons.. it's up to you if you think that's a benefit or not

K&N are good, very good filtering and improved throttle response. just be sure to oil it up properly after you clea it (comes ready oiled an can get cleaning kits that last ages an only cost bout 10 quid!!!)

ps. dont need cleaning that often
