Paint is okay as paint is flexible.. Powder coating will crack..

After 20 years on a car they do yeah

Paint some then, and see how long it lasts

Certain types of paint are flexible, with the correct additives put in

Normal paint will crack

thought the extreme heat would not be good for the springs when powdercoating

Some springs have like a rubbery flexible paint on them well... mine do! not sure what paint it is, but it has never set 100% hard, so it never cracks they are AVO ones
