Default ECU prob

How do i get my ECU out? it has a cradle or something holding it in on my GTI?

it must come out of the cradle some how. there might be a clip holding it in, have a poke around. disconect the battery first tho before you disconnect any of the wires going into the ECU.

my mate replaced his once on his escort and didnt bother to put it back in so the ECU just lay in the passenger footwell. nealy p1ssed myself when i got in the car an noticed it there

lol yeah bud it looks like a rivet at the bottom of the cradle but i wasnt gona touch it until i know for sure how it comes off.

dunno realy mate as i've not done it myself. just use your common sense i think, it cant be hard to get out surely
