dose anyone know if the fuel pump works on the ecu on an ecos have put in a new P8 thats been maped to my spec and all plug in ok but can get no fuel up to the rail as it dosnt prime eather do you have to put in a swich for this or not im alittle stuck???can anyone help thanks

 

you havn't knocked the impact switch when changing ECU?

i believe that there are issues with some p8 chips or pectel board combinations - i can't remember what exactly. have you tried doing a search?

 

Some boards within the ECU require an external switch to trigger fuel pump relay as per some GrpA cars and WRC etc..

and some pectel software/hardware/p8 conbinations do funny things, like the first time you turn on the ignition, the pump doesn't work, then you go back to click 1 and back to click 2 on the key and it does, worth trying, as i had 1 like that, even GGR say they are aware of it but it will never be resolved, (at least by pectel anyway)
