I use frst mgt on my Zetec Turbo
its actually more sophisitcated than the cossie stuff - but has less tuners who can map it for you (Ahmed and Stu@MotosportDevelopments)
why did the car go bang ?
an alternative would be aftermarket management like pectel or Autronic

Hi,
Try an after market management.
Don't forget that Fiesta and Sozy Management is over 10 years old......Think what computers were like 10 years ago.
Management has become so much more accurate since then.
Try www.DTAFast.co.uk
They do some real top spec ECU's that have Traction Control, Launch Control, Turbo Anti Lag.
You will find that they can work out cheaper in the long run as well.
ECU's cost around £600
Wiring around £300
Full Mapping around £400
Total £1300.
You could easily pay £2000 for a decent Cozy Management install

Hi, thanks for the replies
I was considering an aftermarket set up, but was waiting to see what management other people had used and what results they've got. I was using standard fiesta turbo ECU, and wasn't sure wether to get a mappable chip for it or to save and get different management altogether.

the engine had quite high mileage and one of the bearings on the cod rods broke up and got taking round the engine and it wrecked the rest of the engine, so I've gone 2L now and starting from scratch.

Just take your time and look at all the options.
Remember also that a lot of the ECU's can only be mapped by a few specialists which can be a bit of a pain.
Perhaps speak with someone like Engine Advantages on what the best option for you is and your engine.
I spent a whole 12 months researching what ECU would be best for my 2.1zvh and settled for the P8Pro ecu from DTAfast. But the ECU alone cost £1100.00.

Omex has been pretty good and it comes with a whole load of extra's like anti lag and water injection
a freind went for this management on his 3dr running GT35 and 1000cc injectors and made 280bhp on 8psi on its first map
pretty good for the money as everythings there, depends what u want to do with the car too, L8 is pretty good
a mate of mine ran L6 cossie on his 2.1zvh and that made good power on its first map which was 254bhp @18psi, would have done more but this was a safe limit for the standard box

There are some open-source engine managements too for the ones that have an engineer inside them.
There's the VEMS:

Megasquirt-I extra:

Emerald ,all day long.
The new emerald has Al and LC, and these can be added FREE to existing ones via a few parts and software download.
They are DESIGNED by EMERALD so they do know the system inside out.
You can use any type/make of sensor, they have SELF CALIBRATION for some sensors, can run closed loop, be mapped on the TPS alone if needed, and have INDIVIDUAL CYLINDER TIMING AND FUELLING, if necessary.
Karl the boffin who designed the ecu is an awsomely clever bloke, they really do look after thier customers users of their systems.
FULL mapping is £280 however loing it takes.
Can run semi, sequential, or batch fired, turbo or NA, has triple maps, with interpolation.
