Default Focus aircon?

what normaly goes wrong with it?

the car is question does nothing when you push the ac button it just lights up but no click can be heard from the pump?

prob low on gas mate.if the pressure in the system is too low then the pump will not run

aye thats what he said. only thing is it shouldnt lose gas really. only if its leaking he said

very often i find that if the aircon has not been used for a long period it can lose gas even if there is no leak.we get loads of cars into work just as its getting hot cause they havent used their aircon all winter and autumn.ideally you should use it quite frequently.also if you get steamed up windows in the winter you can use the aircon to dissipate it quicker because it dries the air out

spot on matey had it re-gassed today and froze me tits off

check the reciever drier or whatever theyre called on the focus,its situated under the o/s wing behind the plastic arch liner ,they rot through and can leak from there,its a very common problem

it's called an accumulator on a focus, as it's an orifice tube system

receiver/drier used with TXV systems

if you want me to price u up parts i can give you a rough idea as i work in a/c in sales just tell me what focus engine year etc... i can even supply u the parts if you wish.
