Hi just a quikie for you techie geru's, my saffy 4x4 on a K reg intermittantly revs its pods off on a cold start, ie first thing in the morning start the car, revs to 3500 rpm, knock it off and restart and it then ticks over about 1500 to 1600rpm, it does this about 4 out of 10 times, where should i be checking, i pritty sure its not the throttle cable sticking, as a guide if i leave it to run at 3500rpm it will stay there for about 40 seconds or so then drop to 15 or 1600 rpm, ticks over at 950 when warm, fault never comes on when warm...

 

Possibly the i.s.c.v. which is bolted near the throttle body,there is two screws keeping this on,take it off and spray some carb cleaner onto the valve.

This will clean any crap inside.

This may do the job, if not a new one it is then!!
