Default Simple Radiator question.

Just become a series 1 owner and in need of a rad, just wonderd if a series 2 rad would fit .

Any mk3 1.6i radiator will fit right in. I'm not even sure if the S1 had a different radiator. All I have seen are identical to XR3i radiators for except one additional screwed bracket. New ones cost about 50Ł over here at least.

Seem to remember reading somewhere a while ago that the car was fitted with a escort diesel radiator originally ?

Perhaps somebody with access to part numbers may be able to confirm ?

Hi,I don't think it will as (correct me if im wrong ) The mk4 escorts radiators bolt in at the bottom where the mk3s sorta slides into these two slots at the bottom with bolts at the top?
