AIR INJECTORS
Sorry for being a bit dumb in this area but ive never needed to know but what are air injectors?
and can anyone tell me what sort of power i could get from a cossie if its running a hybrid t34 .48 housing, big custom intercooler, ported head, 3bar map, 4x4 pistons and either blues or greys depending on what my turbo could keep up with?
thanks in advance. darren.

Air injectors control the boost pressure
As for the power, depends on lots of things. You havent said what chip, boost, etc. Im not the best person to ask but im sure some of the techs will ask for this sort of thing.
Hopefully this will help you

Well the chip would depend on what injectors I use and the boost would be whatever the turbo could hold so I guess the question should be how much power can this turbo supply and what injectors would be best to match the boost, greys or blues?
How do the air injectors control boost pressure? Where and how are they fitted?
Sorry but im very intrigued

imo your limited by your turbo mate get a .63 housing and a decent inlet cam and you should be around 400hp depending on who you see for the chip.
i would go for greys with a ported head mate!!

mmm dont really want the lag of the .63, really pissis me of now when im not gunning it, wait wait wait oh hello boost
yea im doing head work on it but wasn'nt looking at cams just know, want to see how it drives without them but a bit more power first. a guy i know with the same car fitted bd10's and then took them out again cause aparently it was like an on off switch! (he could of just been a pussy though!)
but my friend is putting bd10's in his kitcar so i will wait and see how his drives
so what is the max boost that this turbo will hold to redline then? its at 24psi at the mo!

air injectors work the other way round to an amal and bleed valve, they bleed off air, air injectors bleed air in.
if you are going to keep the T3/4 turbo, then they are a bit OTT as the wastegate will be fully SHUT anyway as the revs pick up, so it won't offer any better boost control over an amal valve.
The reason why they are needed on big turbo car's is that at high revs the wastegate is opened to bleed off air and the injectors allow this to be super accurately done within 0.5 psi, whereas the amal valve does not have this degree of accuracy.
That said, accuracy is the key factor, you either have it or you don't.
Don't forget Ł350 for injectors, another Ł200 to have them mapped in

well i'd imagine you don't have much room in yours so i'd say in the boot! lol
They fit them on the camcover/head (in front of the pulleys), by the o/s inner wing (near the air filter).
Wherever theres suitable room, also most people like them "on show" as they are pretty damn

No room in the boot mate, thats were the nitrous bottle is going to live! lol
Na not thinkin of fitting air injectors just didnt know what they were and have heard them talk about a few times.
If I was really crazy I would just cut a hole in the side of my bonnet so I could fit a t4 in there!

good fun nailing the odd ferrari though!
wanted to take on the track but didnt didnt get a chance this summer as it was only registerd about 6 months ago and its now having a rebuild due to a slight prang! (see rebuild section)
only thing that i have lost a race with was my mates gsxr 1300cc bike, but he only really nailed me in second and i pretty much stayed with him from there to 160mph, should be putting a vid on here soon with that bit on it!
