Wondered if anybody could shed light on the closed loop modification that I read on here can earn you up to 38mpg on the cossies?????

Closed loop means the ECU is able to control fuel delivery accurately in off/low boost conditions, so yes, going around town or driving along the motorway off boost, the ECU will only deliver as much fuel as is necessary hence an increase in MPG.

It won't make any difference on boost irrc.

 

Had closed loop on my cossie 2wd.I got 38mpg easily and covered 240 miles on half a tank of fuel.Kit is for sale now due to change of plans.Kit is motorsport developments,complete with instructions.

adam rs have you got any pictures of this stuff. i'm especially interested in the 'lambda control daughter board' as i cannot understand it.

why would you have a daughter board for that when it can be done from the eprom as in a green top L8 ecu or p8?

 

Its simply a Software encryption key for the ECU Nick. Ive Plenty of pics knocking about if you want one mate.
