Default Escort Mk5 tickover

I've just fitted a Mondeo 2 Litre throttle body and MAF to my 1800 Escort, it now ticks over a little fast (approx 1100rpm) has anyone any ideas to reduce the tickover. I've tried disconnecting the battery overnight to reset the ecu.
